Trying this out

Soooooooooo like all fads, this one has potential.

A high school friend called me and said HEY NC needs to get on this bandwagon.  There are loads of success stories.  I told her that I had first become aware of this product by visiting the Port Chuck band website and Steve Burton (Jason on "General Hospital" hunka-hunka) is a sponsor of the MonaVie System.

When you break it down, it's cost effective.  How much would you spend on an Atkins shake?  or Luna Bar?  or box of Slim Fast Snack Bars?  Even the Hubby considered Nutrisystem -- God help you if you didn't like the taste of the food they sent you!

Now I'll be honest....I was very skeptical about the price.  BUT divide that by 30 days, and I'm sure I'll have some left over.  I received 2 tubs of the shake mix....Vanilla is YUMMY and you can add fruit if you'd like!  I haven't tried the Choco Berry yet -- but I'm told it's just as delish.  The Chocolate Bars are GREAT!  And the Snack Bar (also berry) are very good - not cardboard or paste - real food!!  Also included in this package was a bottle of supplement pills to "boost" metabolism.

Since I've been sick with a sore throat and cough, I waited a week to try the product.  Plus it was also my birthday week, and, well, a girls gotta have CAKE right?

Sunday I made a shake mix - 8 oz milk with 1/2 a scoop of the mix and tossed back one of the tablets.  1/2 a scoop because with the fiber content of this mix, one doesn't want to BLOW the "diet" if ya know what I mean.  Tried the chocolate bar, the berry bar - nice; had a 2nd glass around lunch time.  Yes, I did enjoy my coffee that morning as well, and I'm sure I had 1/2 a sandwich or peanut butter crackers too AND I ate a normal dinner.  Wasn't starving........didn't have a headache from hunger pains.

Day 2 - Today.  Ditto.  Only with my 2nd glass I added more of the mix.  Today, maybe it's because I'm trying to get over this stinking summer cold, but .....I do feel better.

My next trial is going to be the JUICE that they offer!!

Disney Dancing!!

Well we did it!  Er, SHE did it.  My baby girl danced down the famous Main Street of the Happiest Place on Earth known as Walt Disney World!  She's the one looking at the camera with the flying ponytail and yellow ribbon!  They were exhausted by the time it was over!!

Needless to say we were some happy parents to watch our 40 dancers come down Main Street with Cinderella's Castle in the background.  Awesome memories!  Thank you ALL that helped make this day possible.  I wish everyone could have been there with us for this experience.

We arrived around 3pm on Wednesday to the resort, checked in and headed to the Magic Kingdom for a few rides, eats and the parade and fireworks.  I never get tired of those fireworks over the Castle.

The lights at night change to wonderful colors on this castle, sometimes it looks like ICE, other times the music is playing a wicked queen theme and the colors are just as eerie.  Still beautiful.

Since we had park hopper passes, we jumped around to Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, back to the Magic Kingdom a couple of times, and the girls went to Typhoon Lagoon....I stayed behind for that one!

Tom....well, he joined us the first night for a couple of hours; then he made it to the Parade on Friday, alone.  We didn't spend any quality, family time together that's for sure.  Because we checked out of the resort on Monday, he went with us to Hollywood Studios to watch the Indiana Jones show.  Then it began to rain, again, and we started our trek home.

Rain, again.....yes.  THANK GOD it rained Thursday.  The temps were horrible - you could sweat just thinking about going outside.  Friday the temps came down about 5-7 degrees and was a bit overcast, so the kids had a better day for dancing, plus there were sprinkles here and there and an afternoon 15 minute rain storm.  Sat & Sun & Mon were the same.....welcome to Summer in the South!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my time with a family that we were with.....Swanno/Morris.  We had rooms side by side, traveled down together caravan style, hit the parks together and .........ahhhhhhhhh!  I even got to go to FRANCE for lunch.....I've always wanted to do that, jet off to France or Italy for lunch or dinner.  This time though I walked....in Epcot....while the dancers were enjoying a Gala dinner  party in a private section of the park, with buffet style eating, a DJ and fun, fun, fun.

I'm ready to go back!  But not till it's cooler.  I like it there in December - I'm spoiled that way.  Next time I'll spend more time in Epcot touring the world!
